Welcome to Constructing West Midlands

Building on the success and achievements of the multi-award winning Birmingham Construction Partnership, Constructing West Midlands (CWM) is the new delivery vehicle for capital building works and reactive / planned repair and maintenance works for public sector organisations throughout the West Midlands Region.

The framework is currently comprised of 7No. lots.

Lots 1 to 6 covers reactive and planned repair / maintenance works as well as minor capital schemes up to a value of £500,000. These lots cover legionella inspection and servicing as well as mechanical, electrical and building works.

Lot 7 replaces the Birmingham Construction Partnership framework and is for major capital projects or programmes of work above £500,000 in value.

“CWM is one of the best of the new generation of frameworks, in particular the commitment to performance measurement and continuous  improvement for the benefit particularly of citizens stands out, as does the focus on local employment.”

Don Ward,
Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence

Acivico, who manage CWM for Birmingham City Council, are proud sponsers of the ‘Oscars’ of the construction world – the ’Constructing Excellence Awards’.

‘Constructing Excellence Awards’ are organised around the United Kingdom by the ten regional Centres of Constructing Excellence. In the West Midlands, the Awards are highly regarded and attract entries from leading construction industry organisations, right across the region. Furthermore, winning in the West Midlands region automatically qualifies you for entry into the National Constructing Excellence Awards, where the best that our region has to offer is pitted against the best nationwide.
