Seddon Construction was appointed to undertake a major internal and external refurbishment to an existing nine storey building in Oldbury. The £14million project included a roof extension and the conversation of a basement into 15 new flats which involved extensive external and internal repair and improvement works plus the refurbishment of balcony enclosures and cladding.
Around the existing building, Seddon Construction was required to build 16 new homes and undertake significant landscaping works. The company altered and refurbished the existing nine storey block of apartments, build eight two-bed and eight four-bed semi-detached houses and created hard and soft landscaping, roads and car parks at the development.
In addition, to the refurbishment and modification of existing apartments, the works in the high rise created ten new apartments at roof level, three new flats, two new bed sits and office accommodation in the basement.
The new houses comprised of trench filled foundations with beam and block ground floors, masonry load bearing cavity walls, tiled pitched roofs, plastered and decorated finishes, kitchens and bathrooms, UPVC windows and doors, and mechanical and electrical installations.

The Project consisted of major external refurb works which included:
- Balcony extensions
- Fire protection works
- Lift upgrades
- The installation of a new external staircase
