An experienced and award-winning community manager, Marie has extensive experience in the construction industry in delivering social value and engagement initiatives.
She has a proven track record of working with local authorities to establish social value accounts which directly address the needs of local communities. She also has particularly strong relationships with third-sector organisations and charities in the West Midlands region.
Marie was responsible for developing and delivering the award-winning ‘Enrichment Programme’ which to date has given over 600 students from local schools and colleges an insight into the world of construction. The programme won a Birmingham Post Business Award in 2019 and
During the completion of the Constructing West Midlands’ Coventry Fire Station project, Marie supported young people who were rehabilitating from substance abuse via a 10-week employability programme. Eight young people completed the course with six going to Coventry College to study core construction skills and enter further employment.
Marie is also involved with supporting young people on Youth Offenders Programmes, providing mentoring and work experience for young people.
Whilst working with the team on Warwick Sports & Wellness Hub, Marie supported a Traineeship Programme where ten young people who were not in employment, education or training (NEETs) attended a programme which included, functional skills, mentoring, work experience placements, revision and sponsorships for a CSCS card. As a result three went on to secure permanent employment with our partners on the project.
Marie holds a degree in Homes, Communities & Regeneration and a TPAS Excellence in Equality and Diversity. She is also a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
